Former England international Raheem Sterling has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving, as reported by Sky News.

The 31-year-old, who recently joined Feyenoord in February, allegedly crashed his Lamborghini on the M3 on Thursday morning, leading to police intervention at approximately 9am.

Hampshire Police provided details in a statement:

• Reports indicated a Lamborghini collided with barriers on the M3 southbound, near the Minley Interchange.
• No other vehicles were involved, and there were no injuries reported.
• The driver, a man from Berkshire, faces several charges, including:
  • Driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs
  • Driving dangerously
  • Possession of a Class C drug
  • Failing to provide a specimen

Sterling has been released on bail as investigations continue. A source close to him emphasized that his arrest was "under suspicion." This incident adds to the scrutiny surrounding the former star's off-field conduct.
