Carlos Baleba faces a setback for Manchester United, as manager Michael Carrick announced that the midfielder will be out for weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained during the team's 3-2 victory over Roma on Tuesday. This absence marks a significant challenge for Carrick, who is striving to improve United’s current form, with the team sitting precariously in 17th place, just above the relegation zone.

Baleba, who was signed for £70 million from Brighton this summer, had been making strides in his performance, having made only seven appearances prior to the injury. Carrick confirmed, "It'll be a number of weeks. It's definitely not this week and it won't be any time over the international break." Additionally, he provided an update on Patrick Dorgu, who is slowly returning from his own hamstring issues.

In other news, Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Manchester City goalkeeper, received support from assistant coach Enzo Maresca following a series of errors, including a notable mistake against RB Leipzig. Despite these issues, Donnarumma will retain his starting position as City heads to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday, looking to break a two-game losing streak.

Maresca emphasized Donnarumma's recognition of his mistakes, expressing confidence in the goalkeeper's ability to bounce back.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta praised Declan Rice for his determination to elevate his game, highlighting his contributions of five assists in the Premier League this season. Arteta noted that Rice's evolving mentality has been crucial for his development as a player.
