Piet Cremers has officially left his role as assistant coach for the Wales men's national team, creating a significant gap for manager Craig Bellamy. The 31-year-old Dutchman transitions to become the head coach of Club NXT, the youth academy of Club Brugge, after replacing Jonas de Roeck.

Cremers, who previously served under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City as head of performance analysis, was one of Bellamy's initial selections when he took over the national team in August 2024. Expressing his excitement about the new role, Cremers stated, "I am proud to be joining Club NXT. Club Brugge's clear soccer vision and focus on talent development align perfectly with my approach."

Bellamy and Cremers had a history together, having worked as assistant coaches under Vincent Kompany at Burnley. Their collaboration was crucial in securing the Championship title in 2023. As Bellamy's first managerial role in senior football, the bond with Cremers was evident, with Bellamy noting, "Everything" when asked about Cremers' contribution to the Wales setup.

Despite speculation surrounding Bellamy's potential move to Turf Moor, Football Association of Wales (FAW) chief executive Noel Mooney expects him to remain in charge. The FAW expressed gratitude to Cremers for his contributions to the national team, highlighting his critical role in real-time game analysis alongside Bellamy.
