Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson expressed the club's excitement about their upcoming pre-season tour in the United States, calling it a "privilege" to face Premier League opponents like Leeds United, Liverpool, and Sunderland. The team departs this week, ready for three high-profile matches that highlight their global appeal, especially following the success of the Welcome to Wrexham documentary series.

Parkinson noted the significance of this tour, stating, "It's a real privilege for us to be invited back there... to play three Premier League clubs." He acknowledged the challenges of securing these matches, particularly due to the World Cup, and emphasized the importance of appreciating this opportunity.

Wrexham's Schedule:

• July 26: vs. Leeds United in Tampa
• July 30: vs. Liverpool in New York
• August 2: vs. Sunderland in Philadelphia

Reflecting on previous US tours, Parkinson remarked, "The memories... and the reception the club has had in the US has been absolutely amazing." He highlighted the anticipation surrounding this trip, particularly given the renowned stadiums and formidable opponents.

Despite some injury setbacks, including Ryan Hardie missing the trip due to a thigh strain, Ryan Longman is expected to return to full training. Elliot Lee, who missed a recent match, will also join the squad, as Parkinson aims to keep him fit for the upcoming games.
