Crystal Palace announced the signing of Oscar Mingueza from Celta Vigo on a free transfer, pending international clearance. The 27-year-old defender has committed to a four-year contract, marking him as the first summer acquisition for new head coach Pierre Sage.

Mingueza, a product of Barcelona's La Masia academy, accumulated 66 appearances for the Catalan giants after making his senior debut in 2020. In 2022, he transitioned to Celta Vigo, where he showcased his skills by scoring seven goals and providing 15 assists over 147 appearances.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Mingueza stated, "it is an honour" to join Palace and that he is "really excited" to play at Selhurst Park.

On the international stage, Mingueza has earned four caps for Spain, though he was notably absent from manager Luis de la Fuente's 26-man squad for the upcoming summer's World Cup.
