Dani Olmo has openly criticized Real Madrid, accusing them of trying to destabilize Barcelona through public criticism and legal complaints. Speaking to RAC1, Olmo described the noise emanating from the Bernabéu as a predictable reaction to Los Blancos' two years without trophies, while Barcelona has celebrated multiple titles.

The accusations come amid heightened tensions between the two clubs, stemming from a series of institutional conflicts. Real Madrid has filed a complaint against Barcelona related to the Negreira Case, with Florentino Pérez publicly criticizing the Catalan club. This campaign has included discussions with UEFA and aligns with Barcelona's recent successes, having won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa over the past two seasons, while Madrid has finished the 2025-26 season empty-handed.

Olmo’s own registration issues have also fueled the rivalry. Earlier in 2025, La Liga president Javier Tebas questioned Olmo’s eligibility, suggesting that court injunctions undermined the league's financial framework, a stance reportedly supported by Real Madrid.

On RAC1, Olmo stated, “It’s normal that they want to make noise somehow. We’ve had two years with many titles... but we are focused on our own game and on continuing to win.” He acknowledged Madrid’s summer signings, including Denzel Dumfries and Bernardo Silva, but emphasized that Barcelona continues to improve as well.

This summer has seen Barcelona embroiled in further disputes, including a transfer saga with Atlético Madrid over Julián Alvarez, leading to a FIFA complaint against them. With Clásicos approaching and unresolved legal issues, Olmo’s comments suggest that tensions between the clubs are far from over.
