Ibrahim Mbaye has officially completed his move to Aston Villa, concluding his tenure with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) just as he began securing more playing time. After months of speculation and persistent rumors about his desire to depart, Mbaye finalized his transfer on deadline day for €55 million.

Having progressed through the PSG academy, the young winger made 42 first team appearances, contributing 8 goals and earning two Champions League winners medals. Despite his increasing role at PSG, the challenge of competing with one of the world’s best front threes motivated him to seek new opportunities. Reports indicate that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi played a crucial role in facilitating this move.
