The 2026 MLB postseason nears its climax as the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers prepare for another NLCS clash, while the Tampa Bay Rays await their opponent from the Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians ALDS. The White Sox currently lead the series 2-1, aiming for their first ALCS since 2005.

While the postseason typically recognizes a World Series MVP and a Championship Series MVP, there is no award for standout performances in the Wild Card or Division Series. Here’s a look at the hypothetical MVPs from these crucial matchups:

Division Series Highlights

• Guardians vs. White Sox: MVP TBA. The White Sox's lead puts them a game away from clinching.

• Rays vs. Yankees: Drew Rasmussen claimed the MVP after a stunning performance. He took a no-hitter into the eighth inning, striking out 10 and leading the Rays to a sweep despite a modest offensive showing. Rays manager Kevin Cash praised Rasmussen's elite skills against a tough Yankees lineup.

• Brewers vs. Padres: Jackson Chourio earned the MVP title. Despite a .188 batting average (3 for 16), his three hits were pivotal. Chourio hit a game-tying two-run homer in Game 1 and delivered a dramatic walk-off two-run single in Game 2, turning the tide for the Brewers.

• Dodgers vs. Braves: Yoshinobu Yamamoto excelled, striking out 10 over seven innings in Game 3, allowing just one run and securing a crucial series lead for the Dodgers. Manager Dave Roberts commended Yamamoto's composure and performance under pressure.

Chourio's impactful hits and Rasmussen's dominant pitching highlight the thrilling nature of the Division Series, setting the stage for an exhilarating Championship Series.
