Juventus has successfully negotiated a season-long loan for Nick Woltemade, the Newcastle United forward. This agreement comes ahead of the transfer deadline, with several European clubs vying for the 24-year-old's signature.

Originally acquired from Stuttgart in August 2025, Woltemade is now set to undergo a medical in Turin following the completion of a £3.5m deal, which notably lacks an option for a permanent transfer.

Despite his recent contributions, including an assist for Yoane Wissa during Newcastle's 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday, Woltemade has only made one start under new manager Matthias Jaissle in the first three matches of the season.

Juventus is actively seeking a forward due to Jonathan David's anticipated loan move to Atletico Madrid. They had also explored options with Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United, but decided on Woltemade, citing his compatibility and cost-effectiveness as significant factors. Unlike the deal with Zirkzee, which included a mandatory buy clause, Woltemade's loan is free from such stipulations.

Furthermore, reports from BBC Sport indicate that Newcastle's impending acquisition of Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille for up to £55m could facilitate Woltemade's transition to the Serie A side.
