Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has high praise for his star quarterback Joe Burrow as the team prepares for their matchup against the Atlanta Falcons at the Santiago Bernabéu this Sunday. Burrow, an MVP frontrunner, boasts a league-high completion percentage of 73%, throwing for 2,115 yards and leading the NFL with 20 touchdowns against only six interceptions this season.

Taylor emphasized Burrow's commitment to improving his game, noting his exceptional footwork and ability to read defenses. He stated, "His consistency... he's unbelievable, and he's playing at a high level this year."

The Bengals' offensive prowess is further enhanced by the dynamic duo of wide receivers Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase, who are among the top receivers in the league. Higgins ranks second with 726 receiving yards while Chase has 492 yards, both showcasing their ability to thrive as simultaneous threats in the Bengals' offense. Taylor remarked, "To have them both on the same team is pretty luxurious for us."

On defense, the Bengals aim to improve their performance after past struggles. The acquisition of defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence from the New York Giants aims to bolster their front line against the run and pass. Taylor noted, "He can defend the run and the pass. Teams really have to have a great plan for him."

The Bengals face a significant challenge in slowing down Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, who leads the league with 780 rushing yards. Taylor acknowledged Robinson’s impact, stating, "He's arguably the best one in the league. You gotta have a great plan."

Burrow also expressed excitement about playing abroad, sharing his passion for the NFL's global expansion. He visited the Museo del Prado and expressed his joy in fulfilling a long-term travel dream while playing football. Despite his fame, he noted the challenges of maintaining anonymity in a foreign country, stating, "It's often a little more than I expect when I'm in a different country."

As the Bengals gear up for this historic game, all eyes will be on Burrow and his teammates to deliver a stellar performance in Madrid.
