As the Green Bay Packers host the Carolina Panthers for Thursday Night Football to kick off Week 8, daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) lineups are set to spotlight the passing games. Notably, Jordan Love and Bryce Young struggled in their previous matchup, with neither quarterback throwing a touchdown. However, with key pass catchers like Christian Watson, Tetairoa McMillan, Tucker Kraft, and Matthew Golden available, the running games also demand attention.

Josh Jacobs returned with a strong performance, accumulating 91 scrimmage yards and a touchdown, rewarding those who selected him in their lineups. On the other hand, Chuba Hubbard has made a mark with six touchdowns in as many games. Backup running backs MarShawn Lloyd and Trevor Etienne also contributed with eight touches last week. This raises the question of how to effectively balance the running and passing games in your DFS strategy.

Before finalizing your picks on platforms like FanDuel or DraftKings, consulting the insights from Mike McClure, a seasoned DFS expert with over $2 million in career winnings, is crucial. McClure utilizes a sophisticated prediction model, analyzing matchups, trends, and injuries to identify optimal DFS values.

Among his top picks for this matchup, McClure highlights Jordan Love, who has consistently thrown multiple touchdowns this season, averaging 279.7 passing yards per game. With Carolina's defense ranked 27th in scoring, Love is expected to lead the Packers' offense.

Additionally, McClure recommends Jalen Coker, a standout wide receiver for Carolina, who has averaged 77.5 receiving yards and scored two touchdowns in his four starts. Coker has become a reliable redzone target, making him a valuable asset against a Packers defense that allows significant receptions to wideouts.
