The Week 5 NFL schedule kicks off with the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football at 8:15 p.m. ET. With Dallas favored by 8.5 points, this game shapes up to be a critical matchup for NFL DFS players.

Tampa Bay faces challenges on offense, especially with rookie Jalon Daniels stepping in for Baker Mayfield (thumb). This situation narrows the player pool, prompting DFS participants to consider options from both teams.

Top Player Picks

• Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Javonte Williams lead the Cowboys' options.
• For the Buccaneers, potential standout players include Bucky Irving and Emeka Egbuka.

DFS expert Mike McClure from SportsLine, a professional player with over $2 million in winnings, emphasizes the importance of checking his advice before finalizing lineups on platforms like FanDuel or DraftKings. McClure's prediction model analyzes various factors, including matchups and injuries, enhancing the chances of selecting winning players.

Key Recommendations

One of McClure's top picks is CeeDee Lamb, who leads the NFL with 37 receptions and 498 receiving yards and is tied for third in receiving touchdowns with 4. Coming off a stellar performance against the Texans (17 catches for 189 yards and 1 touchdown), Lamb benefits from the absence of Antoine Winfield Jr. (rib) from the Tampa Bay defense.

Additionally, Bucky Irving is highlighted as a steady contributor for the Buccaneers. Despite modest numbers, he consistently receives touches, making him a viable option against a Dallas defense that struggles against the run, ranking 31st this season.

McClure also targets another undervalued player, which could be pivotal for DFS success. For the full insights and player recommendations, access McClure's analysis exclusively at SportsLine.
