Newcastle United has emerged as a contender for Noa Mikic, the promising 19-year-old defender from Dinamo Zagreb. His impressive performances have not only caught the eye of Newcastle but also attracted interest from several other English clubs, including Brentford, Ipswich Town, and Hull City, as reported by Fussball News.

Mikic, who can play at right-back, is viewed as a potential long-term replacement for Tino Livramento, who has been linked with moves to top clubs in recent months. With Livramento's future uncertain, Newcastle aims to proactively secure Mikic's services to ensure they have a solid defensive option in place.

Key details about Noa Mikic:

• Age: 19
• Current club: Dinamo Zagreb
• Contract until: 2028

Despite being under no immediate pressure to sell, Dinamo Zagreb is likely to command a premium fee for Mikic. The young defender may find the prospect of moving to England appealing, considering it a significant step up in his career and an opportunity to play for a prestigious club like Newcastle. Regular playing time could facilitate his development and help him reach his potential.

As Newcastle looks to build a competitive squad for the future, their interest in Mikic reflects their strategic planning. It remains to be seen if they can outpace their rivals and present an official offer for the defender in the upcoming months. Mikic's blend of defensive skills and offensive contributions could make him a vital asset for Newcastle if they can secure his signature.
