• 5th Minute: Brian Brobbey quickly doubled the lead, finishing off a headed assist from Virgil van Dijk following a free-kick.

Despite appearing in control, the Netherlands faced a momentary scare early in the second half when Hazem Mastouri headed a corner into the bottom-left corner, narrowing the score to 2-1. However, the Dutch quickly responded, with Jan Paul van Hecke restoring the two-goal cushion from a corner of his own.

Tunisia managed a few sporadic chances but could not change the outcome, exiting the tournament without a single point. The Netherlands advanced comfortably to the last 32.

Ronald Koeman, the Dutch coach, expressed his satisfaction:

I wanted first place in the group, and we finished that way. I think it had to do with the fact that we went 2-0 up very quickly. That can be a problem against a stronger opponent and Morocco are an attacking team.

In contrast, Herve Renard, Tunisia's coach, acknowledged his team's shortcomings:

We were not at the level for this World Cup, this is clear, there is no discussion. It’s a big tournament with very good teams, especially in this group, it was a very tough group.

In the other match of Group F, Japan and Sweden drew 1-1 in Dallas, allowing Japan to advance in second place behind the Netherlands, while Sweden secured a spot among the best third-place teams.
