The NBA has decided not to impose any penalties on Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro following their altercation in Las Vegas last Friday. Reports indicate that the incident took place on a practice court within a Las Vegas hotel, where Adebayo allegedly struck Herro after confronting him over remarks made on social media regarding Adebayo's performance. These comments arose after Herro was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the deal for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

After discussions with both players and the NBA Players Association, the league confirmed on Thursday that there would be no disciplinary action. An NBA spokesman stated, "Everyone would prefer to move on from this unfortunate circumstance, and no further action will be taken by the league."

While Adebayo has remained silent on the matter, Herro expressed his desire to put the incident behind him, focusing instead on his new role with the Bucks. He remarked, "Honestly, I'm just trying to move past all of it. I'm focused on Milwaukee and building something special."

Herro was the most prominent player included in the trade, which also sent Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, three first-round picks, and two pick swaps to Milwaukee. Although Herro didn't match his All-Star production from the 2024-25 season, he still posted averages of 20.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game in the 2025-26 season, despite playing only 33 games due to injuries.

Adebayo now partners with Antetokounmpo, creating a potentially formidable frontcourt duo. They aim to establish themselves as one of the league's top defensive pairings, with Adebayo averaging 20.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists last season.
