The NBA experienced a dramatic shift in just one week, with numerous All-Stars sidelined by injuries, altering the competitive landscape significantly.

Winners of the Week

1. Memphis Grizzlies
Surprisingly, the Memphis Grizzlies stand as the league’s last unbeaten team. Their impressive statistics include:

• 1st in net rating (+14.7)
• 2nd in rebounding rate (54.1%)
• 3rd in offense (118.8 points per 100 possessions)
• 3rd in defense (104.1 points allowed per 100 possessions)

Ty Jerome has been pivotal, and Cam Boozer is heating up, recently achieving his first career triple-double against the Portland Trail Blazers. Despite a favorable schedule, the Grizzlies are dominating opponents and seem poised for a playoff run.

2. Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets are benefitting from others’ misfortunes, particularly the Oklahoma City Thunder. With Alperen Sengun shining against Victor Wembanyama, the Rockets rank 1st in overall offense. Fred VanVleet’s return has solidified their position, making them a formidable contender in the West.

3. Yaxel Lendeborg
At 24, Yaxel Lendeborg has exceeded expectations, scoring above his collegiate high twice this week. His performance has revitalized the Golden State Warriors, who have won four straight games, transforming their outlook after a sluggish start.

Losers of the Week

1. Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder faced a catastrophic week, losing Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace, and Chet Holmgren to injuries. Their promising start has turned into a nightmare, raising questions about their season's trajectory.

2. Phoenix Suns
Once a success story, the Phoenix Suns now struggle with internal issues, particularly their point guard situation. Despite having Collin Gillespie, they are not utilizing him effectively, which is impacting their performance significantly.

3. Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz are off to a dismal 1-5 start, performing worse than in previous seasons. The injury to Jaren Jackson Jr. has raised doubts about their decisions and future prospects, leaving fans concerned after years of rebuilding.
