The LA Clippers have been fined a staggering $30 million by the National Basketball Association (NBA) for serious violations of salary rules involving star player Kawhi Leonard. This marks the largest fine in league history, stemming from an investigation that found Leonard had pressured the Clippers to secure lucrative off-court income opportunities.

• The Clippers must forfeit five first-round draft picks from 2029 to 2033.
• Owner Steve Ballmer has been suspended from all league and team activities for 12 months due to his involvement in Leonard's sponsorship contracts.

In addition, Kawhi Leonard has been fined $700,000 by the league. Gillian Zucker, the team's president of business operations, faces a one-year suspension without pay for providing misleading statements during the investigation.
