Fenerbahce are currently negotiating with Manchester City over a £7m transfer for Nathan Ake, the Netherlands defender. According to reports, personal terms with the 31-year-old have already been agreed upon, although the specifics of the transfer are still being finalized.

Negotiations are expected to wrap up soon, with the deal potentially reaching £8.5m including add-ons. Ake recently represented the Netherlands in the 2026 World Cup, making three appearances before the team was eliminated by Morocco in the last 32.

Aziz Yildirim, a presidential candidate for Fenerbahce, is particularly interested in signing Ake. The defender joined Manchester City from Bournemouth in 2020 for £40m and has since made 177 appearances for the club. However, he was anticipated to be sold this summer due to limited playing time, especially in Pep Guardiola's final season.

Last season, Ake only started 17 matches across all competitions, with just six of those in the Premier League. Fenerbahce announced, "The player, who wore the jersey in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, will join our team in the Austria camp following the permission process."

During his time at Etihad Stadium, Ake has secured an impressive collection of trophies, including four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups, and the Champions League.
