West Ham United has officially signed Nadine Riesen, the Switzerland defender, following her departure from Eintracht Frankfurt. The versatile 26-year-old full-back joins on a three-year contract after making 69 appearances in the Frauen-Bundesliga from 2023 to 2026.

Riesen brings a wealth of experience, having played in the Women's Champions League (WCL) and earning 42 caps for the Swiss national team. She becomes the fourth signing of the summer for West Ham manager Rita Guarino, joining Katie Zelem, Constance Picaud, and Laia Codina.

Expressing her excitement about the move, Riesen stated, "When I heard about West Ham's interest in me, I was super excited. It's a huge club with a proud history and I'm very happy to be here."

She continued, "It already feels like a family here and everyone has given me such a warm welcome since I arrived. The Women's Super League is one of the best leagues in the world, so this is a massive opportunity for me to continue my development in a new environment, challenge myself and keep doing what I love most."

Riesen also praised Guarino's ambition for the team, noting the potential within the group and her hopes for achieving great things together.

Having made her international debut in 2019, Riesen featured in all four of Switzerland's matches at Euro 2025, scoring against Norway on home soil. Guarino commented on Riesen's capabilities, stating, "She is a full-back with pace and attacking quality that will complement our playing style. Nadine works extremely hard for the team and has a never-say-die attitude, which is something that we value within this group. Her experience will be really valuable for us."
