Moses Itauma faced a tough setback in his boxing career after suffering a ninth-round TKO defeat to Filip Hrgovic. The 21-year-old rising star, who was heavily favored, dominated the early rounds before fatigue led to his downfall.

Delicious Orie, a fellow boxer, expressed surprise at Itauma's admission of not having sparred for 12 rounds prior to the fight, stating, "It goes back to experience. Hrgovic won that night because of it."

Orie emphasized the importance of preparedness, noting that strength and conditioning alone do not equate to readiness for a 12-round fight. He remarked:

He blew a gasket. You cannot learn on the job when it comes to professional boxing.

Sam Noakes*, another contender from Kent, echoed Orie's sentiments, attributing Itauma's loss to inexperience. He stated, It was more Itauma beating himself... he wasn't out of his depth at all."

Itauma aimed to become the second youngest heavyweight champion in history, following Mike Tyson. However, questions arose regarding whether he was rushed into title contention given his previous quick victories.

Despite the loss, Orie and Noakes remain optimistic about Itauma's future. Orie noted, "One thing Itauma does have is the greatest asset known to man: time."
