Queensberry promoter Frank Warren has praised Moses Itauma as the best 21-year-old he has encountered in boxing. This week, Itauma prepares to reclaim the spotlight in the heavyweight division, overshadowing discussions about a potential ‘Battle of Britain’ between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua ahead of his 15th professional fight.

The undefeated Itauma (14-0, 12 KOs) aims to become the second youngest world heavyweight champion in history, following Mike Tyson, with the IBF title at stake against Filip Hrgovic at the O2 Arena on Saturday. Although Itauma narrowly missed the record for the youngest British world champion, held by Prince Naseem Hamed, Warren firmly believes he stands out among his peers.

Itauma faces a significant challenge against the Croatian veteran Hrgovic (20-1, 15 KOs). Warren expressed confidence in Itauma’s ability to succeed, stating:

• “You can feel the anticipation, the electricity in the air.”

Warren noted the symmetry between Itauma's upcoming bout and Joshua's first world title victory in 2015, highlighting that both fighters claimed the IBF belt at the same venue, though Joshua did so in his 16th fight at 26 years old.
