FC Andorra owner Gerard Pique has received a hefty punishment for his recent confrontations with match officials, resulting in a six-game ban and a two-month suspension from his duties as president. This follows a heated incident after Andorra's 1-0 loss to Albacete on a matchday where Jonathan Gomez scored the decisive goal in the 86th minute.

Pique's outburst included threatening remarks documented in the match report, where he allegedly shouted at officials, saying:

Leave with an escort so you don’t get attacked I hope you have an accident In another country they would beat you up, but here in Andorra we are a civilised country.

As a result of his actions, FC Andorra has been fined €1.5k and will face a partial closure of their stadium for two upcoming matches, specifically affecting the presidential box and VIP seats.

The sanctions extend to other club officials as well. President Ferran Vilaseca received a four-month suspension for attempting to physically confront an official, while Sporting Director Jaume Noguera faces the same consequences as Pique. Match delegate Cristian Lanzarote has been handed a three-game ban and a two-month suspension, with four coaching staff members also receiving one-game bans.

Should FC Andorra commit further infractions, the club risks a three-point deduction. The incident comes at a critical time as Andorra's defeat has significantly diminished their chances of reaching the play-offs in Segunda, now trailing Malaga by eight points with only four games left to play.
