One of football's fiercest rivalries returns as Millwall and West Ham United prepare for their 100th encounter on Saturday at 12:30 PM at the Den. Known as the 'Dockers derby,' this match-up has over 125 years of history, but it has been 14 years since the two London clubs last faced off.

Both teams ended the previous season on a disappointing note; West Ham faced relegation from the Premier League while Millwall fell short in the Championship play-offs. However, the excitement surrounding this long-awaited clash promises to amplify the atmosphere and intensity.

Key Match Details:

• Date: Saturday
• Kick-off: 12:30 PM
• Venue: The Den
• Broadcast: Live on Sky Sports

Despite being favorites, West Ham comes into the game with a recent Carabao Cup defeat to Fulham, although they made six changes to their starting XI. Their form in the Championship, however, has been impressive, scoring 16 goals in their last four league matches. Jarrod Bowen, the captain, has been instrumental with four goals and two assists during this streak.

On the other hand, Millwall faces challenges, with many players sidelined due to injuries. A recent 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough showcased their fighting spirit, but conceding a two-goal lead raised concerns about fatigue and defensive stability, as they have allowed 13 goals in their last five league games.

The rivalry's unpredictability is well-documented, with previous encounters often resulting in wild outcomes, including red cards. Millwall holds a slight edge in their historical record, and the home crowd will remember the 4-1 victory over West Ham in March 2004. With West Ham's last win at the Den dating back to December 1988, this match promises to be a thrilling chapter in this storied rivalry.
