The Miami Hurricanes clash with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a pivotal matchup on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Notre Dame Stadium. This game holds significant implications for the College Football Playoff as both teams aim to secure their postseason spots.

Miami, holding a perfect 8-0 record and leading the ACC at 6-0, recently edged out North Carolina with a thrilling 38-35 victory. Conversely, Notre Dame, currently ranked No. 11 with a 7-1 record, comes off a dominant win against Navy, finishing 35-13. The Fighting Irish, however, have struggled against ranked opponents, sitting at 0-1 this season.

Key injuries impact the matchup, as Miami's wide receiver Malachi Toney is sidelined due to an ankle injury.

Historically, Notre Dame leads the all-time series 18-9-1, but Miami has triumphed in their last two encounters, including a narrow 27-24 victory last year. The Fighting Irish enter this game as 7.5-point favorites, with the over/under set at 54.5.

The SportsLine Projection Model predicts that the game will go Under 54.5 points, noting that this outcome has occurred in three of the last five matchups between these teams. Both defenses are formidable, with Notre Dame allowing just 13.4 points per game (tied for fifth-best nationally) and Miami at 17.8 points per game (21st-best).

Key player projections include Miami quarterback Darian Mensah, expected to throw for over 260 yards and two touchdowns, and Notre Dame's C.J. Carr, projected to reach nearly 250 yards and two touchdowns.

As the teams prepare for this high-stakes showdown, fans and bettors alike are eager to see which side will emerge victorious and how the spread will shift leading up to kickoff.
