Mercedes boss Toto Wolff warned that Kimi Antonelli must stay vigilant despite holding a significant points lead in the championship race. Following back-to-back victories in Monza and Madrid, Antonelli now leads teammate George Russell by 81 points, with nine rounds left in the season. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari and Lando Norris of McLaren trail over 100 points behind.

Wolff emphasized the unpredictability of racing, referring to potential "black swan events" that could derail Antonelli's championship bid. He stated, "There are black swan events, they can come and you're losing something out of your hand when you didn't think it was possible to lose."

Despite his dominant position, Antonelli insists he is not focused on the championship. After his victory at the Spanish Grand Prix, he remarked, "Yeah, it [the points lead] is great, but we've just got to keep pushing... you never know what can happen."

With eight race wins, Antonelli leads the pack, but he credits his success to his support network, particularly his father Marco, for keeping him grounded. He added, "I just try to do my best every race, trying to really drive as fast as I can whenever I go in the car."

Wolff and the team continue to stress the importance of maintaining focus, as Antonelli aims to maximize every opportunity in the upcoming races.
