Max Verstappen expressed his frustration following a crash during the British Grand Prix, labeling the faults with his Red Bull car as "dangerous." The incident occurred on July 9, 2026, when Verstappen spun out at the high-speed Stowe corner, leaving his car stranded in the gravel.

This crash echoed a similar incident from the previous week’s Austrian Grand Prix, where Verstappen noted that both spins were due to his rear wing failing to close properly. He explained, "The rear wing just doesn't fully close... When it happens one time, that can happen, faults happen. Two times, it's getting very dangerous for me."

Verstappen's mishap unfolded while he was on track for a possible podium finish, benefitting from issues faced by both Mercedes drivers. He remarked on his mixed feelings about the race, stating:

Even if we finished on the podium, it would have been a podium that we didn't deserve on pace. We were just simply too slow.

Despite finishing in a favorable position, Verstappen described the weekend as "another painful weekend," highlighting the car's balance issues and his inability to push effectively throughout the race.
