Reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez has officially extended his contract with Ducati until 2028. The 33-year-old Spaniard, who joined the team in 2024, celebrated his seventh championship title last year—his first since 2019.

Marquez expressed his passion for the sport, stating, "I continue to compete because I love this sport and I want to achieve even more ambitious goals. I'm convinced this is the right place to do it."

As he prepares for the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix, Marquez currently trails championship leader Marco Bezzecchi by 40 points, following a challenging start to the season due to injury. However, he recently marked a significant milestone by securing his 100th career victory across all classes at the Hungarian Grand Prix, just weeks after undergoing shoulder and foot surgery.

He continued his winning streak with a victory at the Czech Grand Prix last Sunday.
