Manchester United is poised to allow another attacker to depart from Old Trafford, as Juventus explores a deal for Joshua Zirkzee. The Netherlands international has faced challenges securing a starting position since his arrival from Bologna in 2024, and a return to Serie A could provide him with the regular football he desperately needs.

Juventus is currently undergoing a significant overhaul of their frontline under manager Luciano Spalletti and is also interested in Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain. However, Zirkzee is being considered not only as an alternative but also as a potential additional signing if the financial conditions permit.

Football Italia indicates that United values Zirkzee at around €35–40 million and might consider an initial loan with an option to buy. From Juventus’ perspective, a loan would mitigate immediate financial risks while allowing Spalletti to evaluate Zirkzee’s potential to regain his Serie A form.

However, for United, a loan without future guarantees offers limited advantages. Manager Michael Carrick may not see Zirkzee as a regular starter, and allowing him to leave without securing a future transfer fee could lead to similar issues next summer. United should approve the move only if Juventus agrees to an obligation to buy under achievable conditions. Zirkzee requires consistent playing time, and Italy may offer the ideal environment for his development, while ensuring United creates both squad space and a clear financial return.
