Meanwhile, Manchester United is eager to eliminate his reported £300,000-a-week wages from their financial obligations and has opted not to trigger a one-year contract extension to secure a transfer fee.

Sancho’s heart seems set on Signal Iduna Park, where he has thrived in the past. Despite interest from various clubs, he is willing to take a significant salary cut to facilitate a move back.
