Reflecting on his performance, Littler stated, "It felt good, felt very nice. First five legs was OK but when I came back on after the break I felt very good." He recorded an impressive match average of 109.53 and noted, "I found another gear and finished it off."

After a shaky start, Littler surged ahead in the second mini-session, showcasing his skills with 10 and 11-dart legs. However, Springer, ranked 43rd in the world, countered with finishes of 114 and 100 to equalize at 5-5. Littler then dominated, achieving an average of 124.39 in the final six legs.

Littler humorously remarked about a fan's sign requesting his candidacy for England manager, emphasizing his focus on improvement:

I want to win every major this year.

In another thrilling encounter, Stephen Bunting narrowly defeated Niels Zonneveld 13-12 after overcoming three match darts against him. Bunting initially took control with an 8-5 lead before Zonneveld rallied, including a stunning 164 finish. Ultimately, Bunting secured victory with a double 16 in sudden death.

Bunting's next challenge will be against Josh Rock, who comfortably won his match against Luke Woodhouse 10-4.
