Liverpool faced a disappointing stalemate against Fulham at Anfield, as they were held to a 0-0 draw on October 7, 2023. This result denied Andoni Iraola a third consecutive victory as manager of the Cottagers.

The match began with a tense moment for Liverpool when Alisson almost gifted Fulham an early goal due to a poor clearance. Fortunately, Jeremy Jacquet was on hand to clear the danger, preventing Gonzalo Garcia from capitalizing on the mistake.

In the 22nd minute, Liverpool nearly took the lead themselves when Victor Munoz, the shortest player on the pitch, connected with a corner and sent a header crashing against the crossbar.

As the second half unfolded, Iraola attempted to boost his side's performance by introducing Cody Gakpo and Rio Ngumoha. However, despite their efforts, Liverpool struggled to find any attacking rhythm. The match concluded with Alvaro Arbeloa securing his first point as manager of Fulham, while Liverpool's attacking woes persisted.

Overall, the match was characterized by a lack of creativity and clinical finishing from both sides, leaving fans at Anfield frustrated.
