The 20-year-old centre-back successfully passed his medical on Deadline Day in February, with the deal structured as a fixed fee of £55 million plus an additional £5 million in performance-related add-ons.

Despite interest from Chelsea, who matched Liverpool's offer, Jacquet chose to move to Anfield, signing a five-year contract with an option for an additional year. After recovering from a shoulder injury earlier this year, he is expected to be ready for pre-season training, joining a defensive lineup that includes Virgil van Dijk, Geovanni Leoni, and Joe Gomez.

Jacquet's signing aligns with Liverpool's strategy of acquiring emerging elite talent, as the average age of their first-team signings over the past two transfer windows has been under 22.

Football experts have praised Jacquet's potential. Julien Laurens noted, "He's the real deal. He reminds me of when William Saliba burst onto the scene in France."
