Liverpool is preparing a £86m bid for Yan Diomande, aiming to replace Mohamed Salah with the talented RB Leipzig winger. New head coach Andoni Iraola is orchestrating a £120m double deal for wingers, having already arranged to sign Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34m.

The club's focus has now shifted to the Ivory Coast international, with a proposed package near €100m. However, they face stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who have also shown interest in the 19-year-old. RB Leipzig reportedly seeks at least €130m for Diomande, who made a notable impact during his World Cup debut, helping Ivory Coast secure a 1-0 win against Ecuador.

Since joining Leipzig last year for €20m from Leganes, Diomande has demonstrated his prowess, netting 12 goals and providing eight assists in the Bundesliga, contributing to Leipzig's Champions League qualification.

While Munoz is viewed as a versatile forward, Diomande is seen as a direct replacement for Salah on the right flank. If Liverpool finalizes the deal at £86m, Diomande would become the club's third most expensive signing, following last summer's acquisitions of Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak.

Liverpool is prioritizing forward acquisitions this summer, especially with Salah's departure, the potential exit of Federico Chiesa, and Hugo Ekitike missing the start of the season. Historically, Liverpool has successfully signed players from Leipzig, including Dominik Szoboszlai, Ibrahima Konate, and Naby Keita.
