Liverpool showed interest in signing Yankuba Minteh, the Brighton attacker, during the summer transfer window, but the deal ultimately fell through. As reported by Football Insider, the club is considering a renewed approach for the 22-year-old in January, with expectations that they will pursue him in the upcoming months.

Pete O’Rourke noted, “Liverpool will be looking at a number of targets in January if they are planning to bring in a new right-sided attacker, somebody to fill the void of Mohamed Salah.” The club had previously made multiple bids for Minteh, all of which were rejected.

To bolster their attacking depth, Liverpool signed Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz over the summer but still seek additional options. Minteh might be an ideal fit, particularly after Salah's departure, as he can create opportunities for teammates and inject much-needed pace and unpredictability into the final third.

Currently, Minteh is sidelined with an injury but is expected to return soon. His ability to regain form will be crucial for any potential transfer to Liverpool in January.

Brighton will likely resist losing a key player mid-season, which could mean Liverpool has to pay a premium to finalize the deal. Despite previous substantial offers failing, the two clubs may still negotiate through the January transfer window. Minteh could be the solution to Liverpool’s right-wing problem.
