LIV Golf has voiced its concerns over the DP World Tour's recent actions, labeling them a "clear attempt to interfere" with its ongoing restructuring process. The European tour announced that it would deny membership to any players participating in the breakaway circuit next season, prompting a legal response from LIV during a court hearing on Wednesday.

Rob Fitzgerald, the attorney for LIV, expressed the organization's apprehension regarding the DP World Tour's position, stating, "We're quite concerned by it frankly". He highlighted the timing of the DP's stance, suggesting it was an interference with LIV's efforts to engage its players and reorganize effectively. Fitzgerald reiterated LIV's commitment to player freedom and the foundational principles of its upcoming LIV 2.0 league.

Key points from the hearing included:

• Fitzgerald's remarks on the anti-competitive nature of the DP World Tour's actions.
• A warning from Judge Michael B. Kaplan, who acknowledged the concerns raised by Fitzgerald.
• LIV's need for clarity on its future by the end of the month, specifically regarding investments and player signings.

LIV Golf, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September, aims to conclude its restructuring by early 2027. During the court proceedings, 19 player contracts—including those of Bryson DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson—were rejected, allowing players to explore options with third parties.

Patrick Reed, a current leader in the Race to Dubai, shared his positive experience since returning to the European tour, while Rory McIlroy acknowledged the DP World Tour's right to adjust its regulations for business protection. The unfolding situation highlights ongoing tensions between traditional golf circuits and emerging leagues.
