Lewis Hamilton has acknowledged that the Formula One world championship is nearly out of reach following a challenging race at the Italian Grand Prix. Hamilton's race was marred by a clash with his teammate Charles Leclerc, which he attributed to the team's failure to manage their drivers effectively.

The race at Monza saw Kimi Antonelli clinch victory after an impressive recovery from starting 19th. In contrast, Hamilton could only secure a sixth-place finish. With Hamilton now trailing Antonelli by 76 points and only 10 races remaining, he expressed frustration regarding Ferrari's lack of prioritization for his title fight and operational blunders that have hindered his championship hopes.

Hamilton stated, "From today, we’ve just lost so much ground to them on points. It’s far too late for those decisions to come. I’ll get up tomorrow morning and I’ll give it my best."

Leclerc did not finish the race due to a significant crash on lap two but emerged unscathed. The initial incident with Hamilton on the first lap saw him squeezed wide, resulting in a drop to 10th place. Hamilton criticized Leclerc's driving and held team principal Fred Vasseur accountable for the team's missteps.

Vasseur acknowledged the need for improvement, hinting that team orders could be implemented moving forward. He reflected on past team dynamics, drawing comparisons to McLaren's strategy last season.

With the next race in Madrid approaching, Hamilton emphasized the urgency for Ferrari to rectify their operational issues, contrasting them unfavorably with his previous experiences at Mercedes, where he noted, "When I was at Mercedes we had written rules of engagement." He concluded that the current lack of structure at Ferrari must change for better results.
