Lewis Hamilton faced a challenging weekend at the British Grand Prix, where he admitted that "all the magic just disappeared" despite a strong start. After securing pole position in the Sprint, Hamilton finished third, with Charles Leclerc of Ferrari taking the win.

On Friday, Hamilton topped all sessions, marking his first pole since April 2025. However, during the Sprint on Saturday, he lost to Kimi Antonelli and ultimately qualified third behind Antonelli and Leclerc.

In the 52-lap Grand Prix on Sunday, Hamilton maintained his third position but encountered significant challenges:

• He received a five-second penalty for a false start.
• Struggled with car balance, particularly understeering.
• Was overtaken by George Russell after Ferrari's strategic pit under a late Safety Car.

Despite his frustrations, Hamilton expressed his congratulations to Leclerc, stating, "Congrats to Charles. He did a great job." He reflected on the setup issues, noting that he and his engineers underestimated the front wing adjustments, which contributed to his difficulties throughout the race.

Hamilton's podium finish marked his 16th at Silverstone, maintaining his record in 20 appearances. Although disappointed with his performance, he managed to gain 15 points on Antonelli’s championship lead, who faced his own issues during the race.

Looking ahead to the Belgian Grand Prix on July 17-19, Hamilton acknowledged the team's progress but emphasized the need for improvement, stating, "I’ve got to do a better job than I did this weekend." The seven-time world champion remains focused on enhancing his performance while adapting to the team's evolving strategies.
