With the announcement of their opponents only a week prior—after Tromso triumphed over Cluj with a staggering 7-1 aggregate—fans had a tight window to secure tickets and arrange travel plans. In a remarkable show of support, captain Lewis Dunk and several teammates decided to refund the ticket costs for all travelling fans. Additionally, each supporter will receive a T-shirt and scarf for the game.

In a pre-match press conference, Dunk elaborated on this generous gesture, emphasizing it as recognition of the fans' commitment. He stated:

“Obviously, the fans didn’t know where they were going to go until the last minute. It’s a long trip for the fans and last minute to organise, so we thought we want to start the season off well with the fans and make a gesture by refunding their tickets.”

Dunk expressed hope that this gesture would be appreciated and set a positive tone for the season ahead.

Looking forward to the match, Dunk anticipates a challenging encounter, noting the importance of building on last season's progress. He remarked on Tromso’s capabilities, stating:

“They’re a good side, they like to build up with the ball and play short a lot. It’ll be an interesting game.”
