Williams joins a list of Seahawks stars who have recently signed lucrative contracts this offseason, including Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, Josh Jobe, and Devon Witherspoon. His extension highlights the trend of high-value contracts for interior defensive linemen, following similar deals for Vita Vea, Jeffery Simmons, Jalen Carter, and Quinnen Williams, all of whom secured contracts of at least $30 million per year.

With this new contract, Williams now stands as the league's fifth-highest-paid interior defensive lineman in terms of average annual value, tying with Vea, who recently adjusted his own contract. Additionally, Williams’ total guarantee figure ranks as the fourth largest in his position across the league.

Last season, Williams was a key player in the Seahawks' defense, contributing significantly to their Super Bowl victory. He recorded seven sacks, nine tackles for loss, and 22 quarterback hits, earning him Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors.
