Rangers have officially signed Kosta Nedeljkovic, a right-back from Aston Villa, on a season-long loan deal that includes a £4m obligation to buy based on his game appearances. This move comes as Rangers successfully outmaneuvered competition from other clubs after Nedeljkovic engaged in discussions with manager Derek McInnes and fellow Serbian teammate Vanja Dragojevic, who joined the club earlier this summer.

Kosta Nedeljkovic, 20, joined Aston Villa in January 2024 from Red Star Belgrade, making only 10 appearances during his time at Villa Park. Prior to that, he spent a season and a half on loan at RB Leipzig. His arrival at Ibrox marks the 11th summer signing for Rangers, with more acquisitions anticipated before the transfer window closes on September 3. The club is reportedly looking for a new striker and winger, with Kevin Kelsy from Portland Timbers and Amario Cozier-Duberry from Brighton among the targets.

After joining Rangers, Nedeljkovic expressed his excitement, stating, "Rangers is such a big club, a big family and I am excited to join and help the team have success together. It was an easy decision after meeting with the coach; I only wanted Rangers."

Manager Derek McInnes praised Nedeljkovic, highlighting his youthful talent and experience at high levels of competition in England and Germany, as well as his international representation for Serbia. McInnes emphasized Nedeljkovic's athleticism and commitment to both attack and defense, stating that he will significantly bolster a crucial area for the team as they move forward.
