Kimi Antonelli has addressed rumors regarding a potential future switch to Ferrari, asserting his commitment to Mercedes. The 20-year-old Italian currently leads the Drivers' Championship by 59 points after just 12 races in his second season in Formula 1.

As Antonelli prepares for the Italian Grand Prix, he acknowledged the excitement surrounding his performance but emphasized his satisfaction with Mercedes. He stated, "I am very happy where I am. I feel like I have so much to give back to them."

In discussing Max Verstappen's recent contract extension with Red Bull, Antonelli expressed admiration for the Dutch driver's loyalty, noting the importance of being happy within a team. He reflected, "If I will be happy all throughout with them, I will probably stay with them for my whole career as well."

Despite being at his home race, Antonelli will face a grid penalty for exceeding his engine allowance. He mentioned that this situation could relieve pressure, allowing him to enjoy the weekend more, although he would prefer to start at the front.

Mercedes has strategically chosen Monza for this penalty, viewing it as a track where overtaking is feasible. Antonelli leads teammates George Russell and Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari, with Lando Norris trailing in fourth. He remains optimistic, stating, "In an ideal world, I think realistically top five you can do well."
