Anthony Joshua, a two-time unified world champion, along with his promoter Eddie Hearn, has signed a contract for the bout to occur in the United Kingdom. However, organizers are leaning towards hosting the match in the United States, complicating matters further. Hearn previously indicated that contracts would require renegotiation if the venue shifted from the UK.

Fury, who recently defeated Mariusz Wach to maintain momentum for this potential blockbuster, expressed frustration over the prolonged negotiations, stating:

I've been down to fight at every location that's been mentioned - England, Ireland, Vegas, New York, back to England, back to Ireland, back to New York. I feel like you're being a coward. I feel like you don't want the fight and you're just conning everybody.

Fury further challenged Joshua, asserting that he has had multiple opportunities to fight but has never truly committed. He urged Joshua to "man up for a final time."

In a lighter moment, Fury, alongside former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, taunted Joshua to "sign the contract, big boy," referencing Tyson's famous line.

Frank Warren, who promotes Fury, confirmed to Sky Sports News that Fury is fully signed up for the fight, stating:
