As the NFL approaches the November 10 trade deadline, speculation around players on the move is intensifying, particularly concerning Arizona Cardinals pass rusher Josh Sweat. With a 2-5 record heading into Week 8, the Cardinals are positioned as potential sellers, having already traded former first-round wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Houston Texans.

Josh Sweat, 29, signed a four-year, $76.4 million contract with Arizona in 2025, but his future appears uncertain. Although he is under contract through 2028, there is no guaranteed salary after 2026. Sweat previously spent seven seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was named to the Pro Bowl in 2021 and contributed to the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX victory.

In his first season with the Cardinals, Sweat recorded a career-high 12 sacks. However, this season, he has managed only two sacks through seven games. His trade request following the firing of head coach Jonathan Gannon last offseason hints at his desire for a change.

Potential Landing Spots:

• Dallas Cowboys: Currently, the Cowboys are tied for the third-most total yards allowed per game. With a struggling defense, adding Sweat could bolster their pass rush, especially after their recent trade for corner Joey Porter Jr..

• Green Bay Packers: Although they have solid edge rushers, the connection with Gannon, now their defensive coordinator, might entice the Packers to pursue Sweat, especially in light of the competitive landscape in the division.

• Buffalo Bills: With Josh Allen leading a potent offense, the Bills need defensive reinforcements. Their struggles in points allowed and pressure rate make Sweat a valuable addition as they aim for a Super Bowl run.

As trade inquiries ramp up, Sweat's fate remains uncertain, but interest from multiple teams underscores his value in the league.
