Wales fly-half Jarrod Evans has made a significant return to Cardiff after spending three seasons with Harlequins. The 29-year-old aims to contribute to the United Rugby Championship (URC) quarter-finalists while seeking to add to his 17 international caps.

During his first tenure with the Blue and Blacks, Evans made 126 appearances, scoring an impressive 765 points and clinching the Challenge Cup in 2018.

After joining Harlequins in 2023, he featured in 48 matches, competing for the starting position with renowned fly-half Marcus Smith. Reflecting on his journey, Evans stated, "I feel like I have matured as a player and person; it's good to get different experiences."

He expressed optimism about bringing valuable insights back to Cardiff, noting, "I've had three seasons with Harlequins where I was out of my comfort zone, experiencing a different environment and style."

Cardiff qualified for the URC play-offs for the first time last season, narrowly missing out the previous year. Evans emphasized his desire to build on the team's recent successes, mentioning the wealth of young talent alongside established internationals.

His ambition also includes reclaiming a spot in the Wales squad after being overlooked for the summer tour, competing against Dan Edwards and Sam Costelow. Notably, Evans has already made six appearances under Steve Tandy, scoring the decisive penalty in a memorable autumn victory against Japan.
