West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen has confirmed his commitment to the club as they prepare for their first season in the Championship since 2011-12 following relegation from the Premier League. The 29-year-old England forward, who joined from Hull City in 2020, has made 280 appearances for the Hammers, netting 85 goals and serving as captain since 2024.

Having started every Premier League match last season and scoring nine goals, Bowen remains a key figure in the team's attack. His contribution was pivotal in West Ham's historic win in the 2023 UEFA Conference League final, where he scored the decisive goal against Fiorentina, securing the club's first major trophy in 43 years.

Despite speculation linking him to a summer move back to the Premier League, Bowen has expressed his desire to help West Ham return to the top flight, stating:

My main motivation is staying and bringing this club back to the Premier League where we belong. I see myself in years to come as a West Ham fan.

Bowen's current contract runs until 2030, and while he has not signed an extension, he remains focused on the club's ambitions. He emphasized the importance of his long-term relationship with West Ham, reflecting on his journey from a young player to captain.

Under head coach Nuno Espírito Santo, Bowen will continue his pre-season preparations as they aim to make an impactful return to the Championship, starting their campaign against fellow relegated club Burnley on Sunday, 16 August.
