Jarrod Bowen, the captain of West Ham United, has made a decisive commitment to remain with the club following their relegation from the Premier League after 15 years. Despite speculation about his future, Bowen signed an adjusted deal on July 17 that secures his position at the club until at least 2026/27.

Bowen reflected on his decision, emphasizing the importance of striving to bring West Ham back to the Premier League. He stated, "There were different talks, there were different chances of me leaving... I thought of it as what's going to be the biggest 'what if?' when I retire?" His dedication remains strong, especially after contributing significantly during the last season with nine goals and 11 assists.

In discussing his commitment, Bowen noted his connection with the fans and the club, declaring, "I just love playing football, scoring goals and working hard for the team all the time."

Looking ahead, Bowen is aware of the challenges in the Championship, a league he knows well from his time at Hull City, where he scored 52 goals in 117 appearances. He recognizes the need for a winning mentality and teamwork to achieve promotion:

As long as we get promoted, I don't care how we do it.

With his contract reportedly including a release clause that activates if West Ham fails to return to the Premier League, Bowen remains focused solely on the upcoming season. He concluded, "My dream, my ambition, is to get this club back to the Premier League... I'm living in the present, not years to come."
