Jamie George, the Saracens player, has openly criticized teammate Totoa Auvaa for his "unacceptable" behavior during a nightclub incident that resulted in England cricketers Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson being dropped from the team. George described the 21-year-old Samoan back-row as "a rabbit in the headlights in London", emphasizing his immaturity and lack of awareness regarding right and wrong.

The incident occurred in the early hours of June 8 at the Rex Rooms in Chelsea, where Auvaa threw a punch that missed Atkinson, instead hitting an ECB security guard, who required stitches but chose not to report the incident to the police. Saracens labeled the events as "regrettable for all parties involved" while expressing continued support for Auvaa.

George stated:

• **"He's a young kid who has only left Samoa once. He is immature. He is a good kid, but he's got it wrong."
• **"We need to make sure that we establish that sort of behaviour is unacceptable."
• **"We'll look after him. We will make sure that he's got role models around him."

Following the incident, Stokes and Atkinson were stood down for the second Test against New Zealand pending a disciplinary investigation. However, they were later recalled for the ongoing third Test after an independent review found "insufficient evidence" against them. Both players received written conduct warnings for breaching "specific contractual obligations" but faced no further sanctions.

Saracens released a statement reaffirming their support for Auvaa and criticizing the ECB's handling of the investigation, noting that their internal review was thorough and conducted according to club standards. The ECB has declined to comment on Saracens' statement.
