Rookie Jackson Koivun showcased his talent by shooting a remarkable five-under-par 66, securing his first victory on the PGA Tour at the 3M Open on Sunday in Blaine, Minnesota.

At just 21 years old, Koivun finished the tournament at 25 under par, defeating world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler by three strokes. Scheffler made a strong push, closing with a stellar 63 at TPC Twin Cities, but it was not enough to catch Koivun.

Highlights of the tournament include:

• Denny McCarthy (66), Brian Harman (65), Chandler Phillips (67), and Hideki Matsuyama (64) all tied for third place at 20 under par.
• Scheffler made birdies at three consecutive holes early in the back nine, finishing strong with birdies at No. 16 and 18, but fell short of Koivun.
• Koivun began the final round strong, with an approach shot on the first hole setting him up for an easy birdie, and he maintained a commanding lead throughout the day.

Koivun's performance is particularly impressive considering he had previously helped Auburn secure its second NCAA championship in three years just two months prior. He played the final two rounds of this tournament without a single bogey, demonstrating remarkable composure in his third professional event.

Additionally, Jake Knapp shot an early 62, moving up the leaderboard to finish at 16 under par, tying for 13th, while defending champion Kurt Kitayama ended tied for 24th at 13 under par.
