Cardiff City is on the verge of signing Jack Moylan, a talented midfielder from Championship rivals Lincoln City. The 24-year-old played a pivotal role in Lincoln's promotion to the Championship, contributing 11 goals and six assists during the season, which culminated in them clinching the League One title.

Moylan's standout performance earned him a call-up to the Republic of Ireland national team, where he made an impressive debut by scoring a hat-trick in a commanding 5-0 victory over Grenada.

He will reunite with Cardiff’s manager, Brian Barry-Murphy, who shares his Irish heritage. Moylan's acquisition marks Cardiff's second signing of the summer, following the arrival of Nathan Trott in May.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Cardiff City recently triumphed over Italian giants Roma with a score of 4-1. The Bluebirds are gearing up to face Swindon Town in the first round of the EFL Cup on Saturday, 8 August at 15:00 BST.

Their league campaign is set to kick off against Welsh rivals Wrexham at the Cardiff City Stadium on Monday, 17 August at 20:00 BST.
