Everton has secured a season-long loan deal for Jack Grealish from Manchester City. The 30-year-old midfielder is scheduled for a medical at the club, with the transfer expected to finalize before the Tuesday 23:00 BST deadline.

Grealish previously played for Everton last season, making 20 appearances where he scored twice and provided six assists. His time was cut short due to a season-ending foot injury sustained in January.

Despite interest from other clubs, including his boyhood team Aston Villa, Grealish expressed a strong desire to return to Everton. Angus Kinnear, Everton’s chief executive, confirmed to BBC Radio Merseyside that the club had "remained in contact" with the player.

In addition to Grealish, Everton aims to enhance their attacking lineup, especially with Iliman Ndiaye expected to complete a £65m transfer to City. They are also nearing a £40m deal for Folarin Balogun from Monaco. However, negotiations to bring back Richarlison from Tottenham have reportedly stalled over personal terms.

Grealish, who transferred to City from Villa for £100m in August 2021, has made limited appearances this season. He featured as a substitute in the Community Shield loss to Arsenal and in the Premier League opener against Bournemouth, but did not play in the recent 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

Additionally, Everton's Nathan Patterson may be on the move to Serie A side Torino, with discussions ongoing regarding a potential loan or permanent transfer before the deadline.
